  5. This document provides information relating to the install and usage 
  6. of World's Favorite Cat Breeds(TM). 
  7.  
  8. The information in this file is organized according to the following topics:

  17. 1.1 Within Windows, choose RUN from the file menu.  Type "D:\setup", where
  18. "D" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive, then select OK.
  19.  
  20. Win95: Click the Start button, then click the Run button.  In the command
  21. box, type "D:\Setup", where "D" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive, then 
  22. click OK, and follow directions.

  24. 1.2 No files will be copied to your hard drive.  All files will reside on
  25. the CD-ROM.  Setup will create a Centaur Multimedia group and the icons 
  26. for the program: "World's Favorite Cat Breeds", "Readme.txt", and "Video for 
  27. Windows Setup".

  29. 2.  Running the program
  30.  
  31. 2.1 To run the program simply double click the icon "World's Favorite
  32. Cat Breeds". You must have a Multimedia PC, (sound card and CD-ROM player-
  33. double speed), to utilize the full capabilities of the program. You must
  34. have runtime Video for Windows 1.1 and INDEO Video(tm) 3.2 
  35. installed to see the video portion of the program.

  38. 3. Video for Windows 1.1 - INDEO Video(tm) 3.2 - Runtime versions
  39.  
  40. 3.1 World's Favorite Cat Breeds needs the runtime versions of Microsoft's  
  41. Video for Windows 1.1 and Intel's INDEO Video(tm) 3.2. To install these 
  42. simply click on the Video for Windows setup icon. If you are not sure as 
  43. to whether or not you already have it installed, clicking the icon will 
  44. only update files (if needed) and will not harm any files or drivers that 
  45. are currently in use.

  47. Note: This setup program is supplied by Intel, and is a modified version
  48. of the setup utility Microsoft provides with their runtime package.

  50. 4. Display  
  51.  
  52. 4.1 World's Favorite Cat Breeds is designed to run full screen under 640 x
  53. 480 screen resolution with 65 thousand colors.  If you are running under a 
  54. different resolution or color mode, (such as 800 x 600 and 256 color), the 
  55. program will still work fine, but will not be run in full screen mode, and
  56. the colors may not be as full and rich as possible.  To run in full screen
  57. mode change your resolution to 640 x 480.  If you want to change resolution:
  58. See your windows manual, or use the utility program that came with your 
  59. video card.
