The Screen Saver Workbench is the perfect way to display
your own MOVIES, JPEG Images, GIF Images, Bitmaps
and SOUNDS in a custom Screen Saver. You can even build
your own Screen Saver SLIDESHOW of your favorite images!

The Screen Saver Workbench is Shareware.
You may use it all you want!

Registration costs $14.95
Once you have a Registration Number the annoying reminders to Register will go away.

WHAT THE SCREEN SAVER WORKBENCH DOES
The Screen Saver Workbench makes it possible for you to create your own Screen Saver on your system.
You can do the following:
0. VERY EASY TO USE - Designed with you in mind.
1. Play movies
a. Video For Windows (AVI)
b. QuickTime For Windows (MOV)
c. MPEG Movies
d. The movies can float or be centered
2. Play sounds
a. Wav Files
b. Midi Files
c. A Sound may not be played if a movie is selected
3. Display images
a. JPEG files
b. Bitmaps BMP Files
c. GIF files
d. Select a background color
e. Select a background image
f. Tile the background image
g. Have the floating foreground image leave a trail
4. Create a slide show
a. Using any image format supported above
b. Change the interval between slides
c. Select a sound file to accompany it
d. Stretch the image to fit the screen
5. Password Protection
a. Prevent anyone from using or seeing your system!
HOW TO INSTALL
1. Double click Wrkbench.exe - a self extracting Zip file
2. Follow the instructions in the install process.
HOW TO USE
The install process will put the Screen Saver Workbench program in the directory you select.
It will also put the program in your "Start" menu
Run the program "Screen Saver Workbench.EXE" to select what you want in the screen saver.
Run the Screen Saver Applet to preview and turn on your screen saver.
WHAT THE HECK IS THE SCREEN SAVER APPLET?
Press "Start" (usually in the lower left hand corner of your screen)
Press "Settings"
Press "Control Panel"
Double click the "Display" Icon - looks like a terminal with a pencil and a ruler.
In the "Display Properties" dialog - click the "Screen Saver" Tab near the top of the dialog.
(This is how to access all the Screen Savers on your system).
Under the word "Screen Saver" you'll see a drop down box - select "Wrkbench" in the drop down
Press "Preview" to see your Screen Saver.
If you wish to make changes, you may do so by pressing the "Settings . . ." button.
Once you have a screen saver you like, you can make it active by pressing "Apply" or "OK"
WHAT SYSTEMS ARE SUPPORTED
Only Windows95 and Windows/NT 4.0 are supported.
We recommend installing "DirectX" for best graphics performance.
You may obtain DirectX from microsoft at www.microsoft.com/DirectX
Note: Installing Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 (or better) will install the latest
Active Movie technology - this is also recommended.
