  5. LICENSE AGREEMENT

  7. USE OF THE SOFTWARE IS SUBJECT TO THE SOFTWARE LICENSE TERMS SET FORTH 
  8. BELOW. USING THE SOFTWARE INDICATES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS. IF YOU 
  9. DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS, YOU MUST RETURN OR DELETE THE SOFTWARE 
  10. IMMEDIATELY.

  12. This software is distributed as shareware. You are entitled to use this 
  13. software layer 3 codec for 30 days for evaluation purposes. If you want 
  14. to continue to use this software codec after the evaluation period, or you  
  15. want to use this software commercially, you are required to register the 
  16. software. In the sense of these license terms, USE shall mean running one of 
  17. the programs and/or make use of bitstreams generated by this software. 
  18. You may give copies of the unregistered shareware version of this software 
  19. to other people as long as no file is changed and no file is omitted. 
  20. You may not sell, rent of lease the software to others.

  22. If you are a registered user, you are entitled to use this product for your 
  23. own use. You may not sell, rent of lease the software to others without 
  24. written permission of Fraunhofer IIS. You may use only one copy of the 
  25. software at one time. You may not use this software on a network or on more 
  26. than one computer at the same time without a licence for "concurrent use".

  28. You must not give away your personal registration code. Doing so will result 
  29. in an infringement of copyright. Fraunhofer and/or OPTICOM retain the right 
  30. of claims for compensation in respect of damage which occured by your giving
  31. away of the registration code. This claim shall also extent to all costs
  32. which Fraunhofer and/or OPTICOM incur in defending itself.

  35. WARRANTY

  37. Don't forget that there are no warranties associated with this software. 
  38. While we believe that our software is reasonably bug free and well behaved, 
  39. we are in no way responsible if our software does not work the way you would 
  40. expect it to work. No matter if it locks up your computer, garbles your 
  41. floppy disks or does any other harmful things to your computer - it is 
  42. entirely your problem. Fraunhofer - IIS / OPTICOM are not liable for any 
  43. infringments or damages of third parties' rights in consequencs of your 
  44. use of this shareware product. Fraunhofer - IIS / OPTICOM are in no event 
  45. liable for, respectively do not warrant the trustworthiness, quality, 
  46. industrial exploitability, serviceability of this shareware product for 
  47. the supposed purpose or any other purposes. All orders are subject to the 
  48. general terms and conditions "Allgemeine Verkaufs- und Lieferbedingungen"

  58. As a registered user, you will receive a registered copy of the shareware
  59. along with your personal registration code. The registration is valid for 
  60. all Layer 3 shareware packages of Version 2.xx.
