  31.   Details: When launching the application, Legacy of Time
  32.   brings up this error message because it could not find the
  33.   J3 Data folder.

  35.   Solution: Uninstall and reinstall the program. This will
  36.   make sure that all files reside in the correct location for
  37.   the application to play.

  42.   Problem: Error Message: "QuickTime could not initialize. The
  43.   program will terminate."

  45.   Details: Quicktime is not set up correctly for the
  46.   Application to run, either a file is missing or corrupted.

  48.   Solution: Uninstall Journeyman Project 3 and reinstall.

  53.   Problem: Dialog boxes are too large for screen.

  55.   Details: The text and icons in dialog boxes overlap or even
  56.   appear to be partially corrupted.

  58.   Solution: Set the windows desktop to use small fonts. Click
  59.   the Start button on the Taskbar. Select Settings. Select
  60.   Control Panel. Double-click the Display Icon. Click the
  61.   Settings Tab. Choose small fonts under Font Size.

  66.   Problem: Error Message: "Error, LOTD System OSErr:-1856."

  68.   Details: The application is trying to access the sound card
  69.   on your computer and the drivers and/or files necessary for
  70.   sound are missing or are corrupted.

  72.   Solution: Reinstall your sound card drivers. Please contact
  73.   your computer manufacturer for help in installing the
  74.   correct sound drivers for your particular computer.

  79.   Problem: Error Message: "Legacy caused an invalid page fault
  80.   in module QTFORJP3.DLL."

  82.   Details: This error message randomly pops up when exiting
  83.   the program.

  85.   Solution: Clicking OK will put you back to the Windows
  86.   Desktop. We have randomly seen this on some computers when
  87.   exiting the program, but we have not seen instances where
  88.   this has affected the program or the computer in any way.
  89.   Even when you save a game right before this error message,
  90.   the saved game works fine. This error message seems to occur
  91.   after extended periods of gameplay.

  96.   Problem: Dialog and sound effects are out of sync during
  97.   playing of movies.

  99.   Details: The voices of the characters are out of sync with
  100.   the characters lips.

  102.   Solution: At the Main Menu of Legacy of Time, click on
  103.   Options. Under Display settings, select Line Skipping. While
  104.   in the program, Select Game Options from the File Menu, then
  105.   select Line Skipping under Display settings.

  110.   Problem: Dialog and sound effects are out of sync during
  111.   playing of movies with Video/Sound Combo card.

  113.   Details: The voices of the characters are out of sync with
  114.   the characters lips on a ST Labs video and a Diamond Edge 3D
  115.   combo card. (This is a combo Video/Sound card.)
  116.  
  117.   Solution: We have found an incompatibility with this ST Labs
  118.   and Diamond Edge 3D Video/Sound card combo and the Legacy of
  119.   Time program. However, this does not affect the ability to
  120.   play the game. At this time, we have no workaround for this
  121.   unique setup. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

  126.   Problem: Error Message: "Legacy caused an invalid page fault
  127.   in module LEGACY.EXE"

  129.   Details: This error message comes up when launching the
  130.   application without a CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
  131.  
  132.   Solution: Make sure when you launch the program that you
  133.   have a CD in the CD-ROM drive.

  138.   Problem: There is no "OK" button on the Insert disc dialog
  139.   box.

  141.   Details: When Legacy of Time asks for a CD-ROM disc, the
  142.   dialog box only has a Cancel button.
  143.  
  144.   Solution: Under normal circumstances, when you put the
  145.   correct CD in the CD-ROM drive the application loads the
  146.   disc and removes the dialog box. If you have determined that
  147.   the correct CD is in the drive and the dialog box does not
  148.   disappear, click anywhere in the dialog box except on the
  149.   Cancel button. This should trigger the computer to read the
  150.   disc and load the necessary information.

  155.   Problem: Error Message: "Node archive open failed."

  157.   Details: This error message comes up sometimes when clicking
  158.   Cancel at the Insert Disc dialog box.

  160.   Solution: Please place the correct CD disc in the CD-ROM
  161.   drive and click anywhere on the Insert Disc dialog box
  162.   except on the Cancel button.
