  7. north, enter, examine caretaker, get ring, wear ring, exit, east, exam bucket,
  8. get saw, east, east, cut glass, enter, get rod, exit, north, east, east, east,
  9. south, south, east, get bible, west, south, west, west, fish, exam can, 
  10. drop rod, get key, east, east, north, north, north, west, north, west, west,
  11. enter, east, exam vicar, give bible, west, exit, south, east, east, 
  12. attach gum to broom, east, south, exam grate, put broom in grate, south, 
  13. enter shed, drop jemmy, get ladder, exit, north, north, west, west, west, 
  14. south, south, east, east, drop ladder, up, cut bars, enter, unlock safe,
  15. get chalice, lock safe, exit, down, west, south, west, meet boss

  18. NOTES:
  19. Having been lucky enough to be pals with Matt (we went to the same University,
  20. it was me who transferred the game from tape to emulator format for him!) I
  21. thought I might be able to get a few tips from him. Unfortunately he couldn't
  22. remember how to solve the game, so I had to go through it from scratch!
  23. I hope at least one person appreciates this! ;-)

  25. There are a couple of bugs in the game :
  26. 1) You can't cut the glass when you are just carrying the ring - you
  27. must be WEARING it!
  28. 2) Once you have picked up the brass key, you can't drop it again!
  29.  
  30. The end sequence mentions the sequel - A Thief in Town. According to Matt,
  31. this game was never completed although he did design it fully and do a lot
  32. of initial work. Never mind, eh?
  33.  
  34. One last thing - don't bother ringing Matt as detailed in the end of game
  35. message! He doesn't live there any more......! :-D
