  1. IMPORTANT - READ THIS IF YOU ARE UPGRADING!

  3. - If you previously had multiple library files, it is recommended that you first use your existing software to "merge" them all into a single library.  AML has always been designed to be used to track everything in one single library.  Because of the new database structure which stores multiple tables of information in one database, having separate library files, will force you to maintain separate lists of borrowers, media types, categories, etc...

  5. - After installing AML, DO NOT let any older version of the AML program to access the library file once it has been updated to the newer version.  This includes others on a network.

  7. - If you are upgrading from version 5.5 or earlier:

  9. After installing, copy the following files to
  10. your new AML directory:

  12. RECORDS.AML (and any other library files that have the extension .AML)
  13.  
  14. The old default path to AML was:
  15. C:\AML
  16.  
  17. The new default path to AML is:
  18. C:\Program Files\All Media Library
  19.  
  20.
