- Thank you for trying the shareware Glucose Journal and Database for Win95/98
- by NELLA_WARE.

- You may find it helpful to open this file (READTHIS.txt) in your favorite
- word processor and print it. This file can be found in the directory
- location where Glucose Journal and Database was installed. If you
- kept the suggested installation directory during the installation process,
- then this directory is "C:\Program Files\GJD."

- Unzip the contents of the GJD10.zip (or GJD.zip) file to a working
- directory on your hard drive. From the working directory run
- Install.exe to install Glucose Journal and Database for
- Win95/98 by NELLA_WARE.

- ** To run Install.exe - From the Windows Start button menu choose
- "Run..." and then open Install.exe found in your working directory
- path to begin the installation prgram.

- * On the Windows Start menu find the group "Glucose Journal and Database"
- and then select the item "Glucose Journal and Database" from that group.

- * There is a Glucose Journal and Database Shortcut icon that was placed on your
- Windows desktop during installation. You can select this icon to start Glucose
- Journal and Database.

- ADDING YOUR FIRST RECORD
- ************************

- After Glucose Journal and Database has been successfully installed and started,
- you should add your first record to get things up and running with the application.
-
- A red box with white letters will appear on the first screen of Glucose Journal and
- Database when the database is empty. Until at least one glucose test record has been
- added to the database, some features of Glucose Journal and Database will be unavailable.
- The red and white box appears to notify you that the database is empty and a record
- should be added.

- To add your first record, select the Add Record(s) button and then type in the glucose
- record information for a glucose test. Select the Save button. Your first record will be
- added to the database and you are off and running with Glucose Journal and Database.

- NOTE: You may wish to choose the Setup button before you add your first record. In Setup
- you can tell Glucose Journal and Database the names of up to two medicines that you use
- to control your blood sugar. You can also set other program options in Setup.
