World Counter is a freeware screensaver, can be used without any limitations and can be distributed freely. However no-one other than the programmer of this product can claim commercial/legal ownership and charge more for it then the sole distribution costs. If you want to sell this product for more then its distribution costs you must contact the programmer.

What is World Counter?
It is a screensaver for Windows 3.1 / Windows 3.11 / Windows 95 and shows a large counter on the screen with the current world-population size on it. It is updated as many times as the population size changes.
The following files are part of this package:
install.exe (the screensaver intallation program)
wc361095.txt (the helpfile: ascii text file)
wcreadme.txt (the file you are reading right now)
Automatically installing World Counter:
Execute install.exe.
After that, you have to activate World Counter, by doing:
1 Go to the Windows Control panel.
2 Double-click the icon "Display".
3 Select the tab "Screen Saver".
4 Select World Counter.
5 Press "Apply" and then "OK".
Upgrading from a previous version.
Remove the previous World Counter files (most likely wcounter.scr and wc_help.txt) from your Windows directory before installing.
Manually installing World Counter
Copy the help-file wc361095.txt to the windows directory.
Rename install.exe to wc361095.scr and copy it into the windows directory.
Select 'World Counter' in the configuration-screen (icon 'Display', tab 'Screen Saver') to activate it.
Uninstalling
Simply remove wc361095.txt, wc361095.ini and wc361095.scr from your Windows directory.
Future versions will have automatic uninstall.
Windows 3.1/3.11
Sometimes it might be nessessary for Windows 3.1/3.11 to be restarted (after copying the files) before the screensaver is recognized by the control panel.
