DEU 5.3 will be fully compatible with Doom II. Thanks to the info given by
John Romero on the doom-editing list, DEU now contains the list of new items
and linedef types for Doom II. And thanks to someone who told me a few words
about the new labelling of maps in Doom II, DEU should soon be able to load
them (there is no more ExMy, since there is only one big episode).
Of course, DEU 5.3 will still be compatible with Doom 1, because that's the
version I'm using now to test it.
Just be patient...
