  1. The Royal Game of Ur' v1.0s is a Windows shareware version of the most
  2. ancient board game known -- 5 examples of which were found by
  3. Woolley at Ur.  Played from at least 2500 BC and probably centuries
  4. before, the game spread to all the civilizations of the Near East
  5. and was the most popular game for at least 3000 years!  This version
  6. offers excellent graphics, great game play, original MIDI background
  7. music, and good game sounds.  Easy to play and learn, very fun, and
  8. very educational!  BUT are you player enough to beat Arphaxad -- master
  9. craftsman of Ur and very possibly your ancient ancestor.

  36. 'The Royal Game of Ur' is written in Visual Basic 3.0.   As such it
  37. requires that VBRUN300.DLL exists in your Windows System directory.

  52. To install 'The Royal Game of Ur', please do the following:
  53.  
  54. 1. Check that VBRUN300.DLL is in your Windows System directory.  If not,
  55.    please download a copy (there should be a copy on the BBS from which
  56.    you downloaded UR.ZIP).
  57.  
  58. 2. Create a directory UR.
  59.  
  60. 3. Copy all the files 'unzipped' from UR.ZIP 
  61.    to this new UR directory.
  62.  
  63. 4. Create a program manager icon for UR.EXE by adding it as a file
  64.    in your GAMES program manager group.
  65.
