  1.                            FREEWARE LICENSE
  2.                        Ringing Bells for Windows
  3.  
  4. This is a legal agreement between you (either an individual or an 
  5. entity) and Mark C. Williston ("MCW"). By accessing and using the software,
  6. you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you
  7. do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized
  8. to use the software.
  9.  
  10. RINGING BELLS LICENSE AGREEMENT
  11.  
  12.     1.    GRANT OF LICENSE TO USE.  MCW grants to you the 
  13. non-exclusive right to use Ringing Bells for Windows (the "SOFTWARE") 
  14. on a single computer for the sole purpose of entertainment, which 
  15. operates in the Microsoft Windows or Windows NT evironments. MCW reserves
  16. all rights not expressly granted.

  18.     2.    COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is owned by MCW and is protected
  19. by United States and Canadian copyright laws and international treaty 
  20. provisions.  Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE like any other 
  21. copyrighted material (e.g., a book or musical recording).  You may not 
  22. use or copy the SOFTWARE for any other purpose than what is described in 
  23. this Agreement.  Except as provided herein, MCW does not grant any 
  24. expressed or implied rights to you.

  26.     3.    OTHER RESTRICTIONS. You may not rent, lease sell the 
  27. SOFTWARE, but you may transfer the SOFTWARE and accompanying written 
  28. materials.

  30.     4.    DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS.  You are authorized to 
  31. redistribute the SOFTWARE. This software may be distribuited
  32. by any method to end users including soft disk or CD. Shareware
  33. distribution companies may include this software on CD for a fee as long
  34. as they let it be known to the buyer that the software was not paid
  35. for. Software distribution companies must contact me for an updated
  36. version before distribution.

  38. LIMITED WARRANTY
  39.  
  40. NO WARRANTIES.  To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 
  41. MCW expressly disclaims any warranty for the SOFTWARE.  The SOFTWARE
  42. and any related documentation is provided "as is" without warranty of
  43. any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the
  44. implied warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  45. The entire risk arising out of use or performance of the SOFTWARE remains
  46. with you.

  48. NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.  To the maximum extent 
  49. permitted by applicable law, in no event shall MCW or its suppliers 
  50. be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, 
  51. damages for loss of business profit, business interruption, loss of 
  52. business information, or any other pecuniary loss) arising out of the 
  53. use or inability to use this product, even if MCW has been advised of 
  54. the possibility of such damages.

  56. CANADIAN GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS.
  57.  
  58. The SOFTWARE and documentation are provided with RESTRICTED RIGHTS.  
  59. If you acquired this product in the Canada, this Agreement is 
  60. governed by the laws of Canada. If you acquired this product outside
  61. Canada, local law may apply.
