EEZI-PC Maggie
----------------
*Important thing to note first!*
In spite of appearances to the
contrary, this special edition of
Maggie will happily run on any ST
based hardware. It won't run that
well on any Intel based computer, nor
is it meant to, unless some damn good
ST'ish emulation comes along.
People reading this should be
expecting to revel in the dire
misfortune of those benighted Intel
users from the safety of their ST,
and not joining in with them!
Yes, it runs on Falcon, subject to
the normal 'ST Resolution only' type
terms and conditions.
For a change, lower end users get the
best of the deal for this special
issue. Firstly, you get a stunningly
'real' simulation of a typical PC
desktop environment (DOS V.4, I
believe) if you autoboot. Also with
certain DESKTOP.INF values cunningly
juggled about by us beforehand, you
can run the Eezi_PC.EXE file straight
off without any problems.
Contrast this happy situation with
those smug, hard drive owning high-
end gits who have to fiddle about
unecessarily to turn Eezi_PC.EXE back
into a more amenable Eezi_PC.PRG to
run. This is quite a good simulation
of how many real PC programs behave,
especially on expensive higher end
systems, where you have to tinker
endlessly to get it to do anything at
all. Art is clearly parodying life in
a rather weak fashion here!
If you really want to experience the
whole maschochistic tedium trip of
the life of a typical PC owner, why
not fiddle around with your
DESKTOP.INF file instead, so you
think you've got a 'Sys Config'
headache all of your very own! The
DOS afflicted will nod in sympathy,
but more sensible people are sure to
laugh at you instead.
*Coming soon!* Eezi-PC Maggie DOS
memory segmenter for those hilarious
640K bottleneck antics!
Oh, and you won't half look a tit
trying to read this forty column text
on a super hi-res monitor!

A different type of Maggie?
-------------------------------------
Eezi-PC Maggie is a one-off special
issue kind of thing, made with the
dedicated PC-hater in mind. Inside,
you will get a mixture of back-issue
material slagging off the dreaded
klone box, going right back to issue
ten, along with a little bit of
internet material, and some new and
specially written spoof material for
this issue.
I think the 'suits' would call these
"Bullet Points" or something. Anyway,
some of the things you will find in
this issue.
*The Atari 'Looputer' revisited, and
not a Motorola based system after
all! (With exclusive picture.)
*Meet the new look Maggie Team!
*Demos and games we sort of made up!
*Usefully Spacefilling Art Gallery!
*At least one pro-PC viewpoint!
*Intel Trek revisited!
*Our revenge on crap Boxshifters!
*Authentic 'Windows' style general
protection error emulation!
*More?
*Yes, there is, go and have a look!

Atari Computing Note!
-------------------------------------
Issue three is now out, and the
Maggie pages go from strength to
strength. However, a small degree of
confusion on the part of Felice goes
to prove that history is not so much
the 'Propaganda of the Winner', more
likely the outpourings of those who
do not know what their right hand is
up to when it comes to fine detail.
The Maggie 5th Birthday Party report
was nicely recycled from Mike Noyces
account, however, the screenshot
featured two Symposium visitors, Kev
'Taff' Davies, and Neil 'Arnel'
Hyphen-Jones. *Neither* of these
people were at the Maggie Party!!
One wonders if this Stalinist
reinvention will eventually catch on
as the hallowed truth!!

To end with............
-------------------------------------
Eezi-PC Maggie, a little peek through
the blast doors into Computer Hell!!
Goodnight and sleep well!
