  3. Install problems
  4. ================
  5. Always make a backup of the master disks.
  6.  
  7. The installation will need to write to the backup of your 
  8. installation disk, the disk must therfore not be write protected. 
  9. If the disk is write protected the installation program will not 
  10. run.
  11.  
  12. Dictionaries
  13. ============
  14. The Proximity/Williams American English and British English 
  15. dictionaries are Copyright ╜ 1985, 1990, Williams Collins Sons & Co 
  16. Ltd and Copyright ╜ 1985, 1990, 1994 Proximity Technology Inc.

  18. The file BRIT_ENG.DIC is the UK English dictionary
  19. Papyrus will need to be told the location of the dictionaries from 
  20. the spellchecker options dialogue. See the spellchecker section in 
  21. the user manual for full details.

  23. Bitmap Fonts
  24. ============
  25. If you are not using SpeedoGDOS with Papyrus, the first thing 
  26. you will have to do is tell Papyrus the location of the bitmap 
  27. fonts folder you want to use (disk 3 of the installation disks 
  28. contains fonts). This is done by selecting font paths from the 
  29. options menu and clicking on one of the boxes, a file selector 
  30. will appear so you can locate the font folder. Once done Papyrus 
  31. will pick up the fonts. Note: It may be necessary to add the 
  32. fonts to the font panel, see the user manual for full details 
  33. on adding fonts.

  35. GEM metafiles & Falcons
  36. =======================
  37. There appears to a problem displaying and printing GEM metafiles on 
  38. Falcons due to a bug in the Falcons VDI. If you use a replacment 
  39. VDI such as NVDI you should experience no problems. A fix is 
  40. currently being worked upon.
  41.  
  42. Memory problems
  43. ===============
  44. Papyrus has been used regularly on a 2MB ST with lots of Speedo 
  45. fonts (over 50) and a screen accelerator installed without any 
  46. memory problems or crashes. We have found that the usual cause 
  47. of random crashes and memory problems is due to desk accessories 
  48. or auto programs running off with large quantities of system 
  49. memory. The important thing to remember is to not overload your 
  50. computer with lots of extra memory hungry programs. A simple 
  51. setup will be easier to maintain as well as being more reliable. 
  52. If you do experience memory problems or crashes while running 
  53. Papyrus, try removing some AUTO programs and desk accessories.
