  6. Through settings in WYWO Options, any user can send and receive WYWO
  7. messages using a MAPI or VIM compatible email systems as the delivery 
  8. mechanism.  Just click the Mail button on the Options dialog to activate 
  9. Mail Send and/or Receive mode.

  11.         Click the "Use Mail for Sending" check box to send WYWO 4.3 messages 
  12.         through your e-mail system.
  13.  
  14.         Click the "Use Mail for Receiving" check box for WYWO to poll your
  15.         mail box and retrieve waiting WYWO 4.3 messages from your e-mail
  16.         system.

  18.  Note:  By default WYWO Mail Access users can only create and send messages 
  19.         through email.

  22. WYWO automatically detects your mail system even if it is not already
  23. running on your desktop.  Should WYWO fail to detect your email system, make
  24. sure the [Mail] section of your WIN.INI has one of the following entries:
  25.     
  26.     MAPI=1      
  27. or
  28.     SMI=1
  29.  
  30. where 
  31.     MAPI respresents Microsoft Mail 
  32. and 
  33.     SMI represents Lotus cc:Mail/Notes.

  37. WYWO 4.3 E-Mail Setup:
  38. ======================
  39. If this is an initial installation of WYWO or WYWO Mail Access, you can 
  40. automatically load the user names from your e-mail address database:
  41.  
  42.    Run the WYWO Setup program.
  43.  
  44.    Click the New button and select User from the menu.
  45.  
  46.    Click the Import button and select "Import users from Mail" from 
  47.    the menu.

  49.    Select the one or more names from the mail address list.  
  50.  
  51.    Click "Ok" when done and WYWO will automatically add the mail address 
  52.    names to its user database.

  54. For existing WYWO installations, the names in the WYWO user database must 
  55. match the names in your e-mail address database.  For cc:Mail users, WYWO 
  56. will autmatically recognize user names in the format:

  58.     Levine, Murray
  59.     Martinez, Jerry
  60.     Pipa, Pauline

  62. Just make sure name components match.

  66. WYWO 4.3 E-Mail Operation:

  69. With "Use Mail for Sending" on, create a WYWO message as you normally would.  
  70. You still have access to Total Recall, Operator Assist and Message Carousel.
  71. When you click the Send button, WYWO will automatically route the message 
  72. as e-mail to the address that matches the name in the To: field of the WYWO 
  73. sheet.

  75. With "Use Mail for Receiving" on, WYWO will automatically poll your post 
  76. office for new WYWO e-mail messages.  Should you receive one, WYWO will 
  77. convert your WYWO e-mail message to a standard WYWO New message and notify 
  78. you.  Once converted, WYWO removes the e-mail version from your post office  
  79. and processes your messages as it has in the past.

  81. With "Use Mail for Receiving" off, WYWO will not poll your post office for
  82. new WYWO messages.  You must use your mail system's viewer to read your 
  83. WYWO messages.  Their subject will be "While You Were Out" and the message
  84. will look as a text version of the WYWO sheet.
