  36. The SCO LLI drivers and NDIS3 Windows for Workgroups 3.11 enhanced 
  37. mode drivers on this diskette will install and operate for the 
  38. DE425, DE434, DE435, DE450, and DE500 adapters.  The SCO MDI driver 
  39. will install and operate for the DE425, DE434, DE435, and DE450 
  40. adapters.  See the README.TXT files in the WFW and SCO directories 
  41. for more information.  Other drivers on this diskette function only 
  42. on the DE450 adapter.

  49. This README.TXT file describes the contents of this Driver Diskette.
  50. The RELEASE.NOT file, also included in the root directory of this 
  51. diskette, contains detailed technical information regarding known 
  52. anomalies.

  54. Some of the README.TXT files are long.  You can print a copy of the
  55. appropriate README.TXT before beginning any of the installations.  
  56. To view the README.TXT file, you can use a text editor installed on 
  57. your system, or use the following procedure:

  59. At the MS-DOS prompt, enter the following:

  61.        MORE <README.TXT

  63. The text output pauses at the end of each full screen.  The text 
  64. output resumes when you press ENTER. To stop viewing the README.TXT 
  65. file, press CTRL-C.

  72. DE450 adapters use the Digital DC21041 Ethernet controller chip.  
  73. Throughout this diskette, DC21x4 is used as a synonym for the DE450.

  75. These adapters support full duplex Ethernet communication when 
  76. connected to a full duplex-compatible device.  Ensure that the 
  77. connected device supports full duplex mode before enabling this 
  78. feature, or serious network problems can result.

  93.            NDIS2, NDIS3, or ODI driver
  94. DE450.INF    - Used by Windows 95 to install the NDIS3 driver
  95. OEMSETNT.INF - Used by Windows NT to install the Windows NT drivers
  96. DISK1        - Used by Windows NT to install the Windows NT drivers

  98. The root directory of the Driver Diskette contains several sub-
  99. directories.  The subdirectories and their contents are summarized 
  100. below.  Each subdirectory contains a README.TXT file that provides 
  101. detailed operating and installation instructions for its associated 
  102. drivers.

  104. \BOOTROM
  105.    Contains information for obtaining the quad-protocol remote boot
  106.    ROM for this controller.
  107.  
  108. \INSTALL
  109.    Contains the system installation utility and diagnostics for
  110.    the controller.  Run the diagnostics to verify the proper 
  111.    installation of the controller, or if you suspect that there is 
  112.    a controller hardware failure.

  115.    Contains the DOS NDIS2 driver for the controller for Microsoft
  116.    Lanman installation.

  118.    This directory structure is required for automatic installation
  119.    by Microsoft Lan Manager.  The driver contained in this 
  120.    subdirectory tree is identical to the driver in the \NDIS2
  121.    subdirectory tree.

  124.    Contains the DOS and OS/2 NDIS2 drivers for the controller.
