  2.         Notes on Novell Subdirectory Organization
  3. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

  5. There are five subdirectories for the Novell NetWare environment:
  6. \NOVELL\DOSODI, \NOVELL\OS2ODI, \NOVELL\SRVODI, \NOVELL\SFT3.3X,
  7. and \NOVELL\SFT3.4X.
  8.  
  9. These subdirectories contain the Novell NetWare ODI drivers for
  10. NetWare server and client environments, Novell NetWare Mirrored-Server
  11. Link (MSL) drivers for SFT III, and DEClma executable files.  The
  12. directories are organized as follows:

  14. \DOSODI
  15.  
  16.    This directory contains four files:
  17.  
  18.     README.TXT   - Explicit DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare DOS ODI 
  19.                client driver installation instructions.
  20.     DEFPA.COM    - DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare DOS ODI client driver.
  21.     DEFPA.INS    - Driver installation file used by NetWare 3.12/4.X
  22.                DOS ODI client installation utility (INSTALL.BAT)
  23.                to install and configure the NetWare DOS ODI client
  24.                driver in that environment.
  25.     NET.CFG      - Sample ODI driver control and configuration file.

  27. \OS2ODI

  29.    This directory contains three files:

  31.     README.TXT   - Explicit DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare OS/2 ODI 
  32.                client driver installation instructions. 
  33.     DEFPA.SYS    - DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare OS/2 ODI client driver.
  34.     NET.CFG      - Sample ODI driver control and configuration file.

  38.    This directory contains eight files:

  40.     README.TXT   - Explicit DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare 3/4 
  41.                ODI server driver installation instructions.
  42.     DEFPA.LAN    - DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare ODI server driver 
  43.                that works on both NetWare 3 and NetWare 4
  44.                servers.
  45.     DEFPA.LDI    - Driver installation file used by NetWare 4
  46.                installation utility (INSTALL.NLM) to install
  47.                and configure the NetWare 3/4 ODI server 
  48.                driver in that environment.
  49.     ODIDEFPA.INF - Installation file needed to install DEFPA.LAN driver
  50.                under NetWare Client32 for Windows 95.
  51.     NBI.NLM      - NetWare Bus Interface Module for NetWare 4.
  52.     MSM.NLM      - Novell Multi-Processor Media Support Module
  53.                        for NetWare 4.
  54.     FDDITSM.NLM  - Novell FDDI Topology-Specific Module that is
  55.                loaded prior to loading DEFPA.LAN.
  56.     DECLMA.NLM   - Digital Local Management Application NetWare 
  57.                Loadable Module for DEFPA.LAN.

  59.    This directory contains one subdirectory:

  61.     \312         - Files for installing and configuring the NetWare 3/4
  62.                ODI server driver in NetWare 3.12 servers.

  64. \SFT3.3X

  66.    This directory contains two files:

  69.                3.1X Mirrored-Server Link (MSL) driver
  70.                installation instructions.
  71.     DECMSL3X.MSL - DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI NetWare SFT III 3.1X
  72.                Mirrored-Server Link driver that works on
  73.                NetWare SFT III 3.11, 4.10, and 4.11 servers.

  77.    This directory contains two files:

  83.                Mirrored-Server Link driver that works only on
  84.                NetWare SFT III 4.10 and 4.11 servers.
