  43.  
  44.         This file will help you to install and configure the
  45.         ELSA DESKman.
  46.  
  47.         ELSA DESKman helps you to control multiboard characteristics
  48.         with ELSA graphiccards. For example you can resize the window
  49.         size to one monitor etc. With this tool you will be able to
  50.         divide applications into two or more screens.

  54.         The directory with the ELSA DESKman for Windows
  55.         contains the following files:

  69.         NOTE     This programm was designed to work properly only
  70.                  in multi board use.
  71.  
  72.         For ELSA DESKman is not going to be installed within the installation
  73.         of WINtools, it is necessary to install it manually in multi board use.
  74.         The installation can be done easily and quickly.
  75.  
  76. 2.1     Manual installation from CD
  77.  
  78.         Use Windows Explorer to change to your CD-ROM drive, go to the
  79.         directory Elsaware\Wintools\Win_NT\Deskman.
  80.         Click once with the right mouse button on the file Deskman.inf and once
  81.         again with the left mouse button on the "install" option.

  83. 2.2     Program start
  84.  
  85.         To start ELSA DESKman, reboot your system or run the file Deskman.exe
  86.         in your %SystemRoot\ELSAutil (e.g. C:\WINNT\ELSAutil). A small icon
  87.         appears in the tray-taskbar. Click on it and you can see a pop-up menu,
  88.         where you can choose to configure ELSA DESKman or to get information
  89.         about it.

  95. 3.1     How to configure the driver
  96.  
  97.         In the following the settings of ELSA DESKman will
  98.         be explained. Changes can be done by using "Options" from the
  99.         DESKman pop-up menu.

  101. 3.2     What does DESKman do?
  102.  
  103.         - DESKman restricts the window size to one monitor, unless you
  104.           expressly allow larger windows.
  105.         - A window that would normally be centered on the entire desktop
  106.           is automatically centered on one of the monitors.
  107.         - A window that is not centered, but stretches over the border
  108.           between two monitors, is moved entirely to the monitor which
  109.           displayed the bigger part of the window.
  110.         - Full-screen applications are restricted to one monitor, unless
  111.           specified otherwise.

  115. 4       Errors
  116.  
  117.         When using only one ELSA graphic card or two graphic cards without
  118.         multiboard option, you get the following error message with ELSA
  119.         DESKman:
  120.  
  121.         "You are not using a multiscreen configuration or virtual screen. 
  122.         You do not need DESKman."
  123.  
  124.         In this case you should deinstall ELSA DESKman with
  125.         CONTROL PANEL/SOFTWARE. Mark "ELSA DESKman" and click on the
  126.         "Add/Remove..." Button.
