  69. 2       Installation instructions
  70.  
  71. 2.1     Preparation
  72.  
  73.         Note: If there were already other graphics boards
  74.               installed, their referring "oemx.inf" and
  75.               "oemx.pnf" files (where "x" read as numbers) in
  76.               the INF subdirectory of your system should be
  77.               deleted. This is to ensure that the Plug&Play
  78.               recognition of Windows 2000 is working properly.
  79.  
  80.         Copy all listed driver files to a formatted disk (or a
  81.         temporary directory). Uninstall all display adapter devices
  82.         under CONTROL PANEL/SYSTEM/HARDWARE/DEVICE MANAGER/DISPLAY
  83.         ADAPTERS. Remove your floppy disk and reboot your system.
  84.  
  85. 2.2     Installation
  86.  
  87.         Windows 2000 uses Plug&Play functions to recognize your
  88.         display adapter. Here is how:
  89.  
  90.         1. Device recognized. The "Found New Hardware Wizard"
  91.            will guide you. 
  92.            - Click "Next" - choose option 
  93.             "Display a list of the known drivers ..."
  94.            - click "Next" 
  95.            - choose "Display Adapters" 
  96.            - click "Next" 
  97.            - click "Have Disk..." and choose the directory from (2.1) 
  98.            - click "Ok" 
  99.            - choose entry "ELSA AG GLoria XL (Virge) 
  100.            - click "Next" twice, then "Yes". Now the
  101.              driver is going to be installed. 
  102.            - Click "Finish.
  103.            - Do not restart the computer yet.
  104.  
  105.         2. Coprocessor device recognized as "ELSA AG GLoria XL
  106.            (Delta). Click "Yes" to continue the installation.
  107.            Do not restart yet.
  108.  
  109.         3. Video-Controller (GLint MX) recognized. Click "Yes" to 
  110.            continue the installation.
  111.  
  112.         4. The installation of the display driver is finished now.
  113.            Remove your floppy disk and reboot your system now.
  114.  
  115.         Note: Depending on your monitor Plug&Play will recognize
  116.               and install a monitor device.
  117.  
  118. 2.3     Verification
  119.  
  120.         Open CONTROL PANEL/DISPLAY/SETTINGS. Verify you can read
  121.         "<Monitor Name> on ELSA AG GLoria-XL (GLint)".
  122.         You should now be able to use a resolution higher than
  123.         800x600.
  124.  
  125. 2.4     Adjust Refresh Frequencies
  126.  
  127.         Click "Advanced" Button on Display Property Page. Go to
  128.         Monitor Property Page and use the DropDown-List "Refresh
  129.         Frequency".
