MAIN-MENU
---------
QUICK SINGLE
Starts new single player game
NEW LOCAL GAME
Starts single or hotseat game
NET GAME
Opens multiplayer menu (see below)
LOAD SAVED GAME
Loads saved game and enters to PLAYERS-screen
where players can join if you loaded multiplayer game.
(Players must join in same order they originally joined
when game was started)
EXIT
Exit Great Nations
NET GAME-MENU
----------------
NEW LINK/NET GAME
Starts multiplayer game to which other players can connect
via IPX or TCP/IP network. (This is same as NEW LOCAL GAME
except network is not initialized)
JOIN LINK/NET GAME
Connect to remote server running Great Nations.
IPX and serial network tries to automatically find server
but TCP/IP requires you to enter server's IP address.
NETWORK SETTINGS
Opens network settings menu (see below)
EXIT
Return to main menu
NETWORK SETTINGS -MENU
----------------------
Use this menu to enable/disable and select baud rate for serial
ports and enable/disable IPX or TCP/IP network protocol,
(serial port link not implemented yet)
PLAYERS-screen
--------------
This screen shows all connected players, their names, nations and
local, ready and active -flags. Also in this screen you can chat
with other players.
Use left mouse button to edit your name and nation (only allowed
before game has been started)
Meaning of three boxes at right of screen:
1: LOCAL-flag. Players which have this flag active are playing
in this machine.
2: READY-flag. Players which have this flag active are ready
to start game or ready for next game turn.
3: ACTIVE-flag. Player(s) which have this flag active are currently
controlling their nation(s). (Usefull in hotseat games)
Buttons at botton of screen (JOIN):
JOIN: Add new player to this machine
WORLD: Select world paramaters (only player who started the game
with NEW LOCAL GAME or NEW LINK/NET GAME is able to select
world)
START: Start game. All players' ready-flags are activated in this machine.
Game starts when all players' ready-flags are active.
QUIT: Disconnect all players if selected from server machine or
only players in this machine if connected to remote server
and returns to main menu.
Buttons at bottom of screen (GAME)
QUIT: Server: disconnects all players and quits the game.
Client: disconnects all players in this machine, but does not
quit the game.
DISCONNECT: Active player in this machine is disconnected and removes
all his/her towns and units.
RETURN: return to game screen.
WORLD-screen
------------
button with world name: select pre-drawn maps or random map.
WIDHTH : width of map (random only)
HEIGHT : height of map (random only)
LAND/WATER : percentage of land (random only)
EXTRA : percentage of 'extra' tiles (gems, gold, oil, cows, etc..)
VILLAGE : percentage of villages (Villages are tiles where it is
possible to found new town, money, technology or units)
MOUNTAIN : percentage of mountains
HILLS : percentage of hills
RIVERS : number of rivers
START POS : select between random or map's build-in start positions
This screen also contains chat-window
OK: return to PLAYERS-screen

F1 event window
F2 invention window
F3 towns list
F4 units list
F5 tax window (not implemented)
F6 options window
(tile size, screen resolution and save game)
F7 screenshot
(saved as gn_xxx.pcx)
A/RMB use units special abitilities (build road,irrigation etc..)
W skip unit, doesn't use turns
C center unit
<SPACE> skip unit, uses selected unit's all remaining turns
<ENTER> open PLAYERS-screen (for chatting)
<ESC> return to previous screen
numeric move selected unit
keypad
+/- increase/decrease unit's altitude (flying/underwater units only)
