General Information
===========================================================================
Title: Brixton V.1.00
Filename: BRIX1.WAD
Author: John Adlington
Email Address: CHATHAMHOUSEGS@CAMPUS.BT.COM
Misc Author Info: I suppose I got into Doom a little bit late, (circa
March '96) so I don't know every trick to level
editing. But..
I am a Doom fan. Ever since I have managed to link
up with a friend of mine via a Serial Cable we can't
seem to play Doom enough (along with Command &
Conquer)!
The above address is for my school so if you do send
me anything please make it clear it is me you are
sending the doc to.
Description: This is my first fully working Doom level
It is a small and simple deathmatch level with lots
of doors and two invisible sniper points, so it is
easy to get the shot in. I have not included the
BFG as I feel it is far to easy to then frag your
opponents.
Same with the rocket launcher so I have limited the
ammo available for it.
The Super Shotgun is in a secret room because I think
it is the best weapon in this scenario and if
you know where it is, you already have the edge.
The single switch at the end of the corridor is
for the exit, so you can have a look at the post-
match statistics.
In total, there are 3 different secret rooms to find
which allows you to stock up on ammo for the plasma
gun AND rocket launcher. Two partial invisibility
things are scattered around the map.
As the level is small, you find yourself
rematerializing VERY close to your opponents so be
careful. Try to also make it a priority to get the
backpack as it will help you in the long term.
It is not too intense so there should not be much
to worry about. Just dont bother trying to get the
BFG. It is PURPOSELY out of reach.
Additional Credits: ID for creating Doom and Doom ][, I suppose.
David Cramphorn for the name and layout design,
who without the level would probably look very bad.
Also, the makers of DEEP, which is the level
editor I have used and by far the easiest one
I have used.
