Short: Shows JPEG pics. (68k + PPC support)
Uploader: markus.adamski@cww.de (Markus Adamski)
Author: markus.adamski@cww.de (Markus Adamski)
Type: gfx/show
Version: 0.9beta1
Requires: Cybergraphics V40+, M68020+, optional a PowerPC, OS3.0+.
This is the first beta release of my JPEG image viewer. It probably only works on
a workbench with screen depth >8, but I didn't test that.
Since it is beta software, there is no additional description than the following:
It's FreeWare.
Installation:
=============
Either copy 'FastView68K' or 'FastViewPPC#?' to where ever you like. Since it is
designed as a commodity, the WBStartup drawer would be a good place, but I haven't
tested yet, if the .elf file is handled correctly, that means being ignored.
Usage:
======
Either start it from Shell or by a double click on it's icon.
When started first you need the commodity 'Exchange' or something similar to
open the preferences window:
Popup prefs keys : Type in the key combination you like to use to open this window,
for example "lshift lalt j" (without the '"').
Popup loader keys : Some as above to open an asl requester where you can select the
image(s) to load.
Initial drawer : Type in the drawer to be used for the file requester or
press the underscored key to pop up a requester where you can
choose a drawer.
Output window type: "Scale" -- Image will be resized to actual window's dimensions.
"Scroll" -- Scroll the image within it's window.
"Ask" -- You will be asked what window type used every time.
Buttons:
"Save" : Saves the preferences to the FastView's icon file. if there is
none, a default icon will be created.
"Use" : Use preferences without saving them.
"Cancel": Restore preferences to last "Used"/"Saved".
The menu is self-explanatory (I hope).
You can load as many images as you want, as long as you have enough memory.
Memory usage, especially while loading/decoding is high !
Important:
====
* If you find bugs, let me know !!!
* If you want to see additional features, let me know too. (Well, of course...)
Todo (in no particular order):
====
* Improved window refreshing
* Localization
* Much improved preferences
* AGA support
* Installer
* Better documentation
* <you name it>
Enjoy it (hopefully).
