  42. Installation
  43.     If for any reason the installation program fails, you may copy all
  44.     the files manually to a directory on your hard drive.
  45.     If you are unsure of this procedure, please read below carefully.
  46.  
  47. Windows 95
  48. 1    Create a directory by selecting MY COMPUTER
  49.     Double click on C:
  50.     Select FILE - NEW - FOLDER from the menu.
  51.     Type NITRO as the folder name.
  52. 2    Double click on your CD ROM drive letter
  53.     Select EDIT - SELECT ALL from the menu
  54.     Select EDIT - COPY from the menu
  55.     Double click on C:\NITRO
  56.     Select EDIT - PASTE from the menu.
  57. 3    Check NITRO-X.CFG file (See CANNOT DETECT CDROM DRIVE)

  59. DOS
  60. 1    Create a directory, e.g MD C:\NITRO
  61. 2    Copy all file from the CD, e.g XCOPY D:\*.* C:\NITRO /S 
  62.     assuming your CDROM is on drive D
  63. 3    Check NITRO-X.CFG file (See CANNOT DETECT CDROM DRIVE)

  66. CANNOT DETECT CDROM DRIVE
  67.     If for what ever reason Nitro Racers can not detect you CDROM drive,
  68.     you can either try re-installing from the CD, or Edit the NITRO-X.CFG file.
  69.  
  70.     Within NITRO-X.CFG check your CDROM drive letter is correct,
  71.     You can edit this file with any standard ASCII editor such as NOTEPAD or EDIT.

  73.     The following example shows Nitro Racers configured for
  74.     (E)nglish and the CDROM drive on drive D

  88. RUNNING NITRO RACERS
  89.     Nitro racers can be run by clicking on, NITRO.EXE, NITRO.BAT
  90.     or from within a DOS box. If running from a DOS box,
  91.     change to the NITRO directory and run NITRO.EXE
  92.  
  93. LOOKING FOR SOUND CARD.
  94.     If NITRO.EXE hangs with a message saying LOOKING FOR SOUND CARD,
  95.     please run SETUP.EXE from the NITRO directory, and try re-selecting
  96.     your sound card, If problems still persist, try running Nitro Racers
  97.     from a true DOS box, by selecting RESTART IN MSDOS MODE from the START menu.

  99.     If the problem still occurs, select NO DIGITAL DEVICE as your sound card.
