  1. DD2 patch installation:
  2. =======================

  4. The patch installation is run by double clicking on the Install.bat
  5. file in your dd2net directory on the game CD.
  6.  
  7. 1.  There should be 5 new files extracted into your game directory:
  8.  
  9.     -DD2NET.EXE
  10.     -FONT3.BMP
  11.     -DD2_README.TXT
  12.     -PROBLEM.TXT
  13.     -INSTALLATION.TXT
  14.  
  15. 2.  Double Click on DD2NET to run the multiplayer game.

  19. To create a Win95 Shortcut:
  20.  
  21. On your desktop:
  22.  
  23. 1.  Open EXPLORER
  24. 2.  Locate the DD2 game folder (where you installed the upgrade)
  25. 3.  Open this folder and highlight the DD2NET.EXE file
  26. 4.  CLICK AND DRAG this file to your desktop 
  27. 5.  Release file on desktop
  28. 6.  You should see a DD2 Icon labeled "Shortcut to DD2NET.Exe"
  29. 7.  Double Click on this Icon shortcut to start the game
  30.  
  31. In your START MENU:

  33. 1.  Place the cursor on the Win95 Taskbar
  34. 2.  Right mouse click on the Taskbar
  35. 3.  Choose Properties and left mouse click
  36. 4.  Click on tab labeled - START MENU PROGRAMS
  37. 5.  Under the Customize Start Menu Program - select ADD
  38. 6.  Locate the DD2NET.EXE in your game folder (use Browse)
  39. 7.  Select NEXT when finished
  40. 8.  Locate DD2 Folder in among the displayed Start Menu folders
  41.     and select NEXT when finished
  42. 9.  Keep the name of the Shortcut to DD2NET
  43. 10. Click OK to finish and then check your START Menu
