Intelligence is guessing that the silos were launch tubes for an alien evacuation of the planet. They have also identified these silos as a secondary access to the alien underground base. We are fairly confident that the bulk of the enemy forces are now bottled up underground.
The science team's mission was a success thanks to your efforts. They were able to intercept and record a great deal of tight-band communication signals. As far as we can tell, the signals were directed to the vicinity of the constellation Hydra. This is probably the location of their home system. We are now trying to decipher the alien language so we can get a better idea of their plans.
Finally, we've picked up a few more locator beacon signals coming from the underground base. We're not too optimistic, but we are sending some ships to recon the sealed mine entrance. In the meantime, stand down and get some rest.
