By GINIA BELLAFANTE

After Inauguration Day, DAN QUAYLE could have breathed
easy and embraced 1993 as "Miller time"--a well-deserved
chance to relax, to rediscover Marilyn and to reminisce about
the days when a morally uncompromised talking horse ruled the
airwaves. Instead, the former Veep has been busy planning his
memoirs. By Christmas 1994, Americans can look forward to giving
(and receiving!) a Quayle book, which, as the publisher's
announcement pointedly states, "will describe his political
career of 16 years in his own words." Well, apparently not all
his own words--Quayle will tackle the proj ect with an as yet
unnamed collaborator.
