<p> CITIZENSHIP GRANTED. To KONISHIKI, 30, the controversial Hawaiian-born
heavyweight sumo wrestler; by the Japanese Ministry of Justice;
in Tokyo. The move clears the way for the injury-ridden Konishiki,
whose career has been faltering, to retire and become a sumo
stable master. The first foreigner to win champion status, he
reportedly charged in 1992, then denied saying, that racial
prejudice had kept him out of the grand-champion ranks.
