  18. <p>     Fully half of the 28,000 stock-holders in Playboy
  19. Enterprises own only one share, and those certificates often
  20. adorn such places as taverns and gym lockers. Reason: pinup
  21. value. Since Playboy went public in 1971, its stock
  22. certificates have sported the unclad image of Willy Rey, Miss
  23. February of that year. But because the cost of sending dividend
  24. checks and providing other services to all those one-share
  25. stockholders amounts to $100,000 a year, Playboy has decided to
  26. discourage souvenir collectors by issuing new certificates.
  27. Printed for the first time last week, the shares depict a
  28. "classically styled" woman holding aloft a globe to symbolize
  29. the company's international ambitions. Most notably, she is
  30. robed in a long, flowing gown.
