<p> Everybody gets annoyed. Few people can make a lucrative
career out of it. Exception: JERRY SEINFELD, comedy's master
chronicler of mundane absurdity. What's been driving him nuts
this week? High-finance-charge credit cards. "Have you ever seen
how many words there are on the bottom of a Visa bill?" says
Jerry. "It's unbelievable." Good thing Seinfeld was tapped to
plug the American Express card in edgy new adds that knock the
competition. One features Jerry lecturing a goldfish on
revolving debt. Quirky, yes, but then again, Am Ex had the comic
pen the ads himself. "I always wanted to write ad copy," says
Jerry. "It's a lot like writing jokes."
