DOS users need no longer fear writing bloopers. Using Gram*mat*ik
may not make you the next Steven King or Tom Clancy, but it will
certainly make you a better writer of memos, letters, proposals,
newsletter articles, or anything else you tackle. Gram*mat*ik's
features include spell-checking, grammar-checking, and correcting
common writing errors and weaknesses in your style. Eliminate the
use of jargon and cliches, incomplete and run-on sentences, as well
as punctuation errors. Simple hot-key operation allows you to use the
power of Gram*mat*ik in most word processors. It's also customizable
-- add your own rules or select and deselect the default rules.
Previously, there was some debate over whether the pen was actually
mightier than the sword. But the arrival of Gram*mat*ik for Windows
has ended the debate (and the pen is indeed the stronger of the two).
Gram*mat*ik recognizes parts of speech, subject and verb disagreement,
incorrect homonyms like "their" and "they're," and over 10,000 common
writing errors. Incomplete sentences and overuse of the passive tense
will receive a friendly correction, too. Popular word processors are
supported, as well as text files, and Ventura Publisher and Interleaf
files. Until the proverbial sword receives a major upgrade, Gram*mat*ik
and a word processor will remain mightier.
