About Amapi 3D, the Natural Way to Model
+-----------------------------------------+
Amapi 3D is a powerful, user-friendly and ultra-fast modeling program that
creates stunning models that can be exported to a wide range of formats.
Many users select Amapi as a companion to animation and rendering platform
products, and find that Amapi allows them to create better models for these
packages in less time. Amapi 3D also allows users to use lower-end systems
that are not licensed for the expensive animation platform. Amapi 3D is
also used at home, since it is so affordable.
While focused on delivering modeling tools that are fast and easy to use,
Amapi 3D also includes some very cool animation and rendering capabilities.
This enables low-end seats to "preview" what the model will look/move like
in the animation and rendering platform, and provides enthusiasts an affordable
"total solution" for modeling, animation and rendering.
Amapi 3D's Natural Design Interface puts every tool within instant
reach, letting on focus on the "what" versus the "how" of 3D design.
Amapi 3D modeler includes advanced 3D surface creation tools (Extended
extrusion, Sweeping, Skinning, Multi-profiles patched surface creation),
Bezier surface smoothing tool, Interactive filleting tool, Intuitive boolean
tool, NURBS Free Form Deformation box. and many other modeling and assembly
tools.
The Amapi 3D v4.1 release includes:
- Choice of user interface layouts (Standard or Natural Design Interface).
- Fast GDI and OpenGL rendering and acceleration choices allow use on low-end
or high-end systems.
- Choice of standard wireframe and shaded representation, plus new WireShade(TM)
mode for optimized visual feedback of complex 3D models.
- Fast key-controls let you use both hands, speeding the design process
- Freeform deformation and NURBS tools deliver stunning results
- 3D text editor (TrueType fonts).
- Management of layers and scene hierarchy management, to classify objects
in groups, textures .
- ActiveStyles rednering with a selective ray-tracer (transparencies,
reflections, refractions.), texture-mapping & artistic rendering.
- Library of more than 500 objects and textures.
- Animation module handles objects, cameras and light paths, as well as key
framing edition, allowing you to morph an object into another with a
visual time-line control.
- Outputs AVI and QuickTime movies.
- Import/Export to over 20 formats, including Internet 3D VRML.
- Create better models for 3D Studio, FormZ, Electric Image, Lightwave,
Strata Studio, SoftImage.
- Complete documentation with numerous tutorials, tips and tricks.
