Object of a T-Rex for Imagine 4.0 (I didn¥t test it on further Imagine versions and have
no idea if it works).
A little help:
You need to have Essence II for the skin structure installed in the Imagine folder.
If not, the skin is as smooth as a babyface. You might try Imagine¥s Dinoskin.itx
instead.
The brushmaps are delivered with this package and it is possible that you
have to change the path definitions to your environment in the main object "T.Rex".
Don¥t try to delete the brushes and place them again, you¥ll get crazy by doing this
job. If the brushes are not placed correctly, the T.Rex will look like Godzilla after
an acid attack (... perhaps you think he already looks so.)
The object is only a demo (sorry...), but with all subgroups prepared to add bones and
make him walk. You will understand this if you can "Imagine" how long it takes to
complete this piece of points an triangles.
A little history:
This guy is handmade and he has changed so often since his birthday about 4 years
ago. I had only the book "Jurassic Park", sketches and paintings from science books
and a lot of cigarettes, coffee and tranquilizers. After I had seen what the guys of
ILM made in the movie "Jurassic Park", I stopped working on my object for several month
because I had to recover from the shock how ridiculous my T.Rex looked at that time.
By comparing him today, he did not look better anyway, but he is only made with home
equipment.
Thanks to my companion I finished the T.Rex and finally the object is ready to act in
a video we will try to make soon.
Let me know if you like my object and if you make any private pictures or animations
with it. Have fun but I don¥t like any commercial use, as it happens with another
object I created some years ago. (Do you know the Lady in a red dress? I wonder how
she becomes naked on Lightwave.)
If you want to spread it, please leave this package as it is, containing this "readme"
of course. If you want to use it, please let me know. If you didn¥t like it, delete it.
The image T-Rex12_94.jpg is an picture of anolder version than the object you will
find in this archive.I promise that you will see some screenshots of the actual
(or a newer) version soon on Aminet (if you are interested).
Might be that some animations are uploaded too.
Have fun!!!
