  1. ICONS CONTROL
  2. The indispensable tool to process Windows icons
  3.

  5. INTRODUCTION
  6. ------------
  7. Icons Control is designed to display as many Windows icons as possible in a
  8. 10x10 grid. Icons can be copied, renamed, moved, and erased with a click of
  9. the mouse. Hardcopy of icons can be printed on any printer supported by
  10. Windows. Icons Control can even display icons embedded inside DLL or EXE
  11. files. Displayed icons can be edited, converted to bitmaps, or extracted to
  12. ICO format (in the DLL or EXE viewing mode).  In addition, 32x32-pixel bitmaps
  13. can also be converted to ICO format. Conversion and extraction can be done in
  14. batch mode, thus saving a considerable amount of time for those of you with
  15. large number of icons to process. Furthermore, any portion of the screen can
  16. be captured into an icon or bitmap. For a complete description of Icons
  17. Control, please refer to the help file accessible by clicking on the Help
  18. icon from outside as well as inside the program.

  29. * ICO to BMP conversion.
  30. * Printing hardcopy of icons.
  31. * No "nag" screen (I don't believe in "nag" screen" ;-)

  35. * BMP to ICO conversion.
  36. * Icons extraction from DLLs and EXEs.
  37. * Captures any portion of the screen into an icon.
  38. * Access to image flip, shift, and rotate tools.

  40. * Your name (or your company name) is displayed on the opening screen and in the About window. No more shamefully displaying that you are merely evaluating this program--you will be a full-fledged Icons Control power user :-)

  46. REGISTRATION
  47. ------------
  48. Icons Control is both freeware and shareware.  Freeware users are free to use
  49. it to view, copy, mode, delete, and rename icons.  Icons Control even displays
  50. icons embedded inside DLL and EXE files.  The displayed icons cannot be
  51. extracted, edited, or converted.  The extraction, editing, and conversion
  52. functions are only available in the registered versions (shareware).  There
  53. is no evaluation period to use Icons Control.  You may use it as long as you
  54. want.  But in order to use the above-mentioned functions, you must register
  55. to obtain the registered version.
