  1. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: VECTOR FILES

  3. The files contained on this disk were created using vector illustration 
  4. software and are fully scaleable within layout applications and editable 
  5. within vector image editing programs. The files are saved in a variety of 
  6. convenient formats.

  8. MACINTOSH
  9. Adobe Illustrator EPS format with 8-bit previews and CorelDRAW 
  10. format. The enclosed browser displays the Illustrator EPS files' 8-bit 
  11. PICT preview.

  13. WINDOWS
  14. CorelDRAW (.cdr); Adobe Illustrator EPS format (.eps) with 8-bit and 
  15. 1-bit previews; Windows Metafiles (.wmf); and bitmap (.bmp) files.

  17. Under Windows, because of cross-platform compatibility issues with 
  18. EPS PICT previews, the Kudo browser has been configured to show 
  19. BMP versions of the vector-based files on this disk. The overall 
  20. onscreen image quality is better, and allows for a more accurate 
  21. evaluation of the images. It should be noted that these BMP files are 
  22. saved at screen resolution, and should  only be used for the purposes of 
  23. previewing images or comping. THE BMP FILES ARE NOT VECTOR-BASED, AND 
  24. ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR PRINT REPRODUCTION. For your project, you should 
  25. use the vector-based files, not the BMP files.
