You will need to have DirectX 6.1 installed on your machine for this demo to work.
*Playing The Game*
Craft Selection
You have a choice of three craft before the start of each mission.
Mohawk Arapahoe Huron
Payload: Low Payload: Medium Payload: High
Shields: High Shields: Low Shields: Medium
Manoeuvrability: Medium Manoeuvrability: High Manoeuvrability: Low
Flying Your Aircraft
Each aircraft has four movement controls. Your aircraft can fly forwards/backwards,
left/right and up/down. You can also rotate left/rotate right in your aircraft to
change your heading. The last movement control is up/down, which is useful for dodging
missiles.
Firing Weapons
On each mission you have a primary and a secondary weapon. You can fire either of
these at your current target. You can select a new target at any time by pressing the
Target button, which will pick the target closest to the centre of the screen. To
target an enemy unit, rotate your aircraft until the unit is in the centre of your
screen and press the Target button.
Primary weapon
This will either be a cannon or a laser and will never run out. It will lock onto the
current target in the vertical plane, but you player will have to aim it in the
horizontal plane by rotating your aircraft.
Secondary Weapon
On each mission you have a limited supply of missiles. They will either be a
combination of air-ground and air-air or just all-purpose missiles. If the former is
used, the correct weapon for the current selected target will be automatically
selected so you don't need to worry about changing weapons. Missiles have a two-zone
system where you are only guaranteed a hit if it is inside your sure-fire zone. You
will know that a target is in the sure-fire zone because your targeting box will be
flashing. Different missiles have different sure-fire zones, and these are displayed
on the radar (see below).
Support Weapons
You may also be given support weapons on some missions. Only one of these is available
at a time.
Air Strike: Single missile with very high impact strength. Use your Support button to
activate your targeting laser, and then press your secondary weapon button to call in
the strike.
Wingman: He flies around with you and you can order him to attack your current target
by pressing the Support button.
Electronic Counter Measures (ECM)
You can use your ECM button to fire counter measures that will attract missiles away
from you. When you fire an ECM, your system will need to recharge before you can fire
another one. The recharge time is displayed on the HUD.
Radar
On your radar, the coloured dots mean the following,
Yellow - Primary Target: You must destroy these targets.
Red - Enemy Ground Unit: You don't need to destroy these but they'll be shooting at you!
Pink - Enemy Aircraft: Probably the most deadly unit you'll encounter.
Blue - Friendly: Do not destroy, they are on your side.
Green - Wingman: Try not to crash into him!
White - Enemy Missile: Dodge or use ECM to avoid this
The yellow circle shows the sure-fire zone of your current weapon.
The white broken box around red dots shows your current target.
Other Controls
There are several other controls available to you during flight.
Offset Camera Views
You can snap your camera around the helicopter to 45░ either side or 45░ up and down. Use these views to get a better look at target units that are close to the edge of the screen.
Camera Zoom

Infra Red
Can be switch on at any time, but is particularly effective during night missions.
