Yes, i know that you have better things to do but reading this
doc won't harm you, believe me. I've even heard rumours claiming
that some ppl found a girl just after reading the "credits" section.
I know that could sound weird......but who knows?

Title : The Messy Base
Author : Adriano Lorenzini (aka Escher)
Email Address : a.lorenzini@iol.it
Description : Small techy map mainly made for a one-o-one;
'nuff said, i leave the rest to Jeff :)
Without these people you wouldn't be reading this:
Thanx to Yahn Bernier for BSP. I love this man. Why? Check out this site
and get some pr0n pics of him: http://bsphq.telefragged.com/
Thanx to all of my cool friends/testers: Paolo "Nusco" Perrotta, Matteo
"RexCazz" Palmieri, Walter "Psycho" Sammarchi, Roberto "Camper" Bettazzoni and
his son JanCacodemon. Thanx to David "QuaDog" Borghesi of the vicious clan QMax.
Thanx to Eric Nyberg, i need ppl like him. Thanx to my "little potato"....you know who you are
Thanx to the last *and* the least tester Paolo Petrini (http://quakeitalia.shiny.it/)...hehe.
A special thanx to Dennis "Headshot" Kaltwasser for the "lift's trick" and for being
such a great mapper: get Dapak ASAP! Why? Two words. Can you say: "KICK ASS"?
http://www.planetquake.com/dapak
Finally thanx to all of you who spent some time for dropping me a line,
i really appreciated that

* Play Information *
Game : Quake Registered 1.01 or higher
Map Name : The Messy Base
Single Player : NO
Co-op : NO
Deathmatch 2-8 : 6 Deathmatch Starts
Difficulty Settings : NO
Additional Info : No exit, No escape. Anyway setting a time limit

(read below where to get it)
==================================================
* Construction *
Base : New level from scratch.
Editor used : BSP 0.85 (http://bsphq.telefragged.com/)
Construction time : 1 month (on/off)
Known "bugs" : "Timerefresh" doesn't work fine with this map.
Don't be afraid, there's nothing wrong with your PC and
the level runs fast.....that's just due to
the presence of some "illusionary brushes" which
screw it up.
Sometime you could get stucked going up the "little"
stairway.......that was intentional and i spent alot
of time working that bug "in". I just hate ramps.
Finally, i know that white ruled texture gets boring
after a couple of seconds but i didn't find any good
alternative choice, if you can make one or two customized
textures for me i'll be glad to do a major lifting.
==================================================
* Strategies & Tactics *
Who need them? Just run fast and shoot at any moving pixel
on your screen. Mmmmm....well......anyway...
The best strategy is to change your strategy as often as
possibile IMHO (sorry for the pun)......indeed as soon as
your enemy is able to foresee your moves you're dead meat.
Finally, take advantage of the peculiarity of each and every
weapon......BTW, on this map the GL gives its best! I strongly
suggest you to use the so-called "Night Watchman's Tactic",
that is, walk around and toss a quick grenade into the first
hole you find on your way then move along to next hole. Don't
stop yourself until you can hear someone screaming and yelling.
For getting the most out of this tactic, while you're carefully
checking through holes, you should whistle a tune. My buddy Tazz
suggests the evergreen song titled: "Fraggin' in the rain (of gibs)"
* Other Works *
"De Bello Quakero" dedicated to DA man, Yahn Bernier
ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames2/levels/deathmatch/d-f/debello.zip
Medium size level based on a roman theme, plenty of
great architectures and so on. You just will love it!
"UltraViolence" dedicated to my pal Ed Smith
ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames2/levels/deathmatch/s-u/ultrav.zip
Another small deadly map made for a very intensive DM.
It's a sort of heaven if you like to rocket-jump on your buddy's head.
"Razzi Amari" (English translation: "Bitter rockets"...well, actually
that's a pun but i haven't feeling to explain it right now)
ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames2/levels/deathmatch/p-r/razzi.zip
Medium size map suitable for 6-8 players. It's a "metal"
DM level very interconnected for allowing a very fast gameplay.
If you love classics then give it a run through.
"The Blue Death"
ftp.cdrom.com/pub/idgames2/levels/deathmatch/a-c/bdeath.zip
It's a small level made for those who still love the good old SSG
Comments, suggestions and/or REQs are welcome.
Any kind of feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Really, if you don't like it then let me know why, if
you think it sucks very bad then all you have to do is
to cut and paste this meaningful ASCII image and send me it along:
