* Description *
X-Bounce is a small 1 on 1 or 4 player FFA dm map. The design is
very basic to maintain decent playability. Detail is kept to a
minimum since r_speeds can be an issue in open arena type maps.
Overall, the map is very playable, with long distance rooftop
views being slightly problematic. All weapons are available with
the exception of the 357, handgrenades, and the controversial
hornetgun. Ammo is well dispersed and not over abundant, to
hopefully prevent anyone from dominating the map. The bounce pads
are a blast to use and work best when used while jumping.
Beware the cannon ! If you fire it too close to an adjacent
building, it may kill you. The entire map has been clip brushed,
so don't worry about gauss jumping out of the map. I recommend
playing this map with decals turned off to maintain consistent
playability. The setting is at night, but you can adjust your
gamma if the map appears too dark. Software video rendering ?
Not a good idea for this map !
