  1. If you are upgrading from Stickies! Lite to Stickies! 
  2. Pro and you wish to preserve your Stickies! Lite notes, 
  3. please read all of the following directions before you 
  4. begin the upgrade process.  These directions explain two 
  5. methods of accomplishing this same task.  You should use 
  6. only one of these methods. 
  7.  
  8. The Copy Method (preferred, since it preserves your 
  9. global option settings): 
  10.  
  11. 1. Make sure your current copies of Stickies! Lite and 
  12. Stickies! Pro are not running. 
  13.  
  14. 2. Install Stickies! Pro using the INSTALL.EXE file on 
  15. the distribution disk.  DO NOT INSTALL STICKIES! PRO 
  16. INTO THE DIRECTORY THAT CURRENTLY CONTAINS STICKIES! 
  17. LITE. 
  18.  
  19. 3. Once the installation of Stickies! Pro is finished, 
  20. shut it down. 
  21.  
  22. 4. Using File Manager or a similar utility, display the 
  23. files in your Stickies! Lite directory.  You'll see a 
  24. file named STLITE.SAV.  Make a copy of this file, and 
  25. call the copy STICKIES.SAV. 
  26.  
  27. 5. Move the file STICKIES.SAV that you created in step 4 
  28. to the directory where you installed Stickies! Pro in 
  29. step 2.  This will replace a file of the same name. 
  30.  
  31. 6. Run Stickies! Pro.  You should be up and running now, 
  32. with your Stickies! Lite notes transferred to your new 
  33. copy of Stickies! Pro.

  37. The Export\Import Method: 
  38.  
  39. 1. Make sure your current copies of Stickies! Lite and 
  40. Stickies! Pro are not running. 
  41.  
  42. 2. Install Stickies! Pro using the INSTALL.EXE file on 
  43. the distribution disk.  DO NOT INSTALL STICKIES! PRO 
  44. INTO THE DIRECTORY THAT CURRENTLY CONTAINS STICKIES! 
  45. LITE.

  47. 3. Once the installation of Stickies! Pro is finished, 
  48. shut it down.

  50. 4. Run your copy of Stickies! Lite.  Click on the main 
  51. Stickies! Lite icon, and then select the "Manage 
  52. Notes..." and "Export all Notes..." items.  Stickies! 
  53. Lite will present you with a dialog box that you use to 
  54. tell it which name you want to use.  Enter the name 
  55. ALLNOTES.STN, then click on the "OK" button.  Stickies! 
  56. Lite will export all your notes to the file 
  57. ALLNOTES.STN.

  59. 5. Shut down your copy of Stickies! Lite and start your 
  60. copy of Stickies! Pro.

  62. 6. Click on the main Stickies! Pro icon, and then select 
  63. the "Manage Notes..." and "Import Notes..." items.  
  64. Stickies! Pro will present you with a dialog box.  Use 
  65. this dialog box to display the directory that contains 
  66. your Stickies! Lite files, and you should see the file 
  67. ALLNOTES.STN listed.  Select this file and click on the 
  68. "OK" button.  Stickies! Pro will import your Stickies! 
  69. Lite notes into your current set.
