  17. WinImage does all disk image operations under Windows (WinNT, Win95,
  18. Win32s). 
  19. New: hard disk image,EXE image self-extractor,
  20. user friendly redefined batch assistant.
  21. Make disk images from floppies, extract files from
  22. images, make an empty image, inject files into it
  23. and put the image on blank disk. Writes DMF format.
  24. It can open CDROM ISO image files in read only,
  25. compress image files (ZIP compatible),
  26. comment on in image, drag files to the Windows explorer.

  32. This Zipfile contains WinImage 4.0, standard and professional
  33. versions, and the self extractor.

  35. This is the English version of WinImage 4.00. For other languages,
  36. you need to download the translation Zipfile on the WinImage Internet
  37. Web site.

  40. STEP ONE

  42. You need to extract winima40.zip into a new directory (for example,
  43. c:\winimage). You can use WinZip (http://www.winzip.com) for this
  44. task.

  49. If you are running MSDOS + Windows 3.1x, you need to install Win32s 1.30.
  50. There is link to download Win32s at http://www.winimage.com/othertl.htm
  51. You can also add FDREAD.EXE in your AUTOEXEC.BAT for reading 1.68/DMF floppies.

  53. (Note : FDREAD is only for MSDOS 5.x/6.x, NOT for Windows 95/Windows NT)

  58. If you want to run WinImage, just run WinImage.exe
  59. If you want to create a Self Extracting file, run SfxSetup.exe
  60. You can create shortcuts to these executables.
