  3. Description:
  4. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
  5.     An advanced zoomable Charmap for installed and *not-installed*
  6.     fonts (think of font-collections at CD-ROMs etc.).
  7.     Easy browsing of symbol-fonts for instance,
  8.     or to reach things like ⌐, «, ú, ╛,... fast,
  9.     copy and paste them into your word processor.
  10.     Drag & Drop .ttf-files into RS-FontChart. It simplifies the
  11.     the way of installation or removal of fonts.
  12.     32Bit-Version for WinNT/95.
  13.     Take a look into the extended system-menu on the top-left...

  15. Installation:
  16. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  17.     Drag FontChart.exe from the Explorer and drop it to the Desktop
  18.     to get an icon.
  19.     No systemfiles will be changed.
  20.     To uninstall RS-FontChart, simply delete FontChart.exe.

  27. About the use:
  28. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  29.     Right-click in the grid to copy characters.
  30.     In the top-left corner you see the list of fonts already installed
  31.     on your system. If you press the "view uninstalled Font-Files..."-
  32.     button, a drive-, dir- and file-list appears, where you can select
  33.     uninstalled .ttf-files anywhere on the disk or CD-ROM. The internal
  34.     font-name of that file appears in the top-left corner. If there
  35.     appears only empty space instead of a font-name, a font of that
  36.     name is already installed on your system (although the filename
  37.     may differ).
  38.     The "Add"-button installs the current selected ttf-file into your
  39.     system.
  40.     The "Del"-Button displays a window containing all installed fonts
  41.     on your system, where you can delete unnecessary ones. Be careful,
  42.     remove only these fonts, which you have added before -by yourself !!!

  46.     By the way: Do you know any other CharMap, that can play music ?
  47.     Or more generally: Do you know ANY OTHER WIN95-APPLICATION, that
  48.     can play music without soundcard, using the PC-speaker ?
  49.     Neither I do ! (The reason is the misssing API-call in Win95,
  50.     but as you can see and HEAR, this mission is not impossible).
