Description
-----------------
NotAgain is a very simple program to start programs.
It offers you a menu with YOUR commands from the system tray,
the little icon box on the taskbar.
The program is very lean and clean; no bells or whistles and uses
very little resources. As a bonus you can also assign hotkeys to the
programs on YOUR menu.
Any program that can be started with a commandline can be used with
NotAgain.
Installation Instructions
-------------------------------------------
NotAgain will only operate under Microsoft Windows 95* or Microsoft
Window NT 4.0*.
Create a folder named NotAgain
Copy the file
NotAgain.exe
CfgAgain.exe
NotAgain.dat
readme.txt
to this folder.
Drag the NotAgain.exe file onto the start-button.
Usage
-----------
Run NotAgain. A Small spiral icon will appear in the system tray.
Left Click this icon to show the menu of commands. Click a command to run
it.
Right Click the icon to see the options:
-Setup NotAgain will bring you to the setup screen. Here you can add, remove
and change the commands. You can also change the order of the commands.
You can give a name for the command to appear on the menu. If the name
is - a horizontal bar will appear on the menu(try it).
Type the complete command line in the commandbox. Some common examples
are given in the balloon hint.
open c:\windows = explorer.exe c:\windows
explore c:\windows = explorer.exe /e, c:\windows
rootexplore c:\windows = explorer.exe /e, /root, c:\windows
dosprompt c:\windows = command.com /k cd c:\windows
notepad = notepad.exe
edit win.ini = start c:\windows\win.ini
Choose how to run this command:
Default,Maximized or Minimized.
For dos programs it can be important to start the commmand on the right drive.
You can indicate which drive to start on. So for the above;
'dosprompt c:\windows' the drive would be c.
If you want you can assign a hotkey to each command. If you don't choose ctrl
or alt or both the hotkey is ignored. Press a single Ctrl or Alt to remove the hotkey
-Load Commandset.
You can select an old commandset (previously saved) or type a new, nonexisting
name to create an empty commandset.
-Save Commandset.
Give a filename to save the current commands in a new file, or select an
existing file to overwrite it with the current commands.
About Commandsets.
There is one restriction about using commandsets:
They should always exists in the directory where the NotAgain.exe file is
located.
You can load a commandset at startup by enterining the name of the set as
a parameter to NotAgain.exe. E.g.:
NotAgain dosprompts.dat
When no file is specified NotAgain uses its default: NotAgain.dat
