  1. Welcome to Iutilities v1.01

  4. These utility programs are probably most useful to 
  5. programmers and developers, but they could be useful
  6. to anyone.
  7.  
  8. They are designed to run in Windows 95 and Windows NT only.
  9. They will not necessarily work with older versions of the 
  10. Windows operating system.
  11.  
  12. There are seven utilities:
  13. the versions here are unlimited ShareWare versions. 
  14. They are fully functional and if you use them you should
  15. send the registration fee to Iu Software either by fax 
  16. intl+612 9982 2194 or by e-mail pauls@mail.tmx.com.au

  18. The cost is US$20 for the set of seven Iutilities.
  19. You will need to supply your Name, credit card type, number and expiry date.
  20. If you apply by fax it will also need to be signed.

  22. We also recommend you browse the online help to get a better idea
  23. of the features available.

  25. Clean Iutility
  26. will work through a folder and the other folders inside it
  27. looking for files which match the masks you specified.
  28. All matching files will be deleted.
  29. This is particularly useful for deleting automatically
  30. generated backup and temporary files.

  33. Compare Iutility 
  34. will compare two ASCII text files and report the differences.
  35. There is no limitation on file size. (actually its limited to 4Gb)

  38. Multi-Edit Iutility
  39. allows you to do multiple search and replace across any number
  40. of files in one operation. The search and replace strings include
  41. a sophisticated set of wild cards and multiple replacements can
  42. be performed at one time.

  45. Search Iutility 
  46. will search through whole folders (or even whole disks) looking 
  47. for files which contain a specified string. 
  48. Again the string can be specified using wild card characters.

  51. Touch Iutility
  52. will change the modification dates of all the matching files to
  53. the time and date you specify.

  56. Usage Iutility 
  57. will generate a tree reporting the actual disk space used by
  58. each directory on your disks.
  59. the tree can be sorted, expanded and contracted, and of course 
  60. printed, copied and pasted...

  63. Where Iutility 
  64. will search your disks looking for files which have the specified
  65. search string in their name.
