Hello. If you're reading this, you probably just downloaded my 'Big Lebowski' desktop theme for Windows 95/98. If you enjoyed the movie as much as I did, you won't mind plastering the various sounds and pictures I've collected on your computer. I don't wanna take up too much of your time, but here are a few things you might want or need to know.
First, copy and paste all the files in this folder into your 'C:\Program Files\Plus\Themes\' directory. Of course, this theme will not work unless your computer is equipped with Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 with Microsoft Plus. Once the files have been moved, all you need to do is open the theme-loading program in your Control Panel and select one of the 'Big Lebowski' themes from the menu.
I have included wallpaper and theme files for both 1024x768 and 800x600 monitor resolutions, so if your monitor is set differently, you'll need to resize the wallpaper yourself. I've also included some extra event sounds, which you can set yourself through the Display utility in your Control Panel.
If you want to complete the look of your new desktop theme, you'll need to install the alternate Startup and Shutdown screens I've included in their own subfolder. You'll find them included with directions on how to install them, or you could download a logo management program. There's lots of them available on the web.
