  1. Thank You for downloading the demo version of Sound Pics.

  3. Program Set-Up:
  4.  
  5. "Sound EffectsTM" Pics For Kids has its own installation program
  6. and will automatically install In the drive and directory of
  7. your choice.  To begin, go to the File Manager and find the location
  8. of the downloaded files. Double Click On "install.exe".
  9. The installation will begin by giving you a choice for drive and directory.
  10. If no drive or directory is selected, the program
  11. will default to the C: drive and will build a directory called
  12. SFXPIC-D.  The installation program will now install the files to the 
  13. selected directory and build a program group called "Sound Pics Demo".
  14. All the executable icons will be placed in this Program Group.
  15.  
  16. Since "Sound EffectsTM" Pics For Kids was programmed
  17. using Visual Basic 3.0, you will require the following files to
  18. be resident in your Windows\System directory:  VBRUN300.DLL and
  19. MMSYSTEM.DLL.  MMSYSTEM.DLL comes standard with "Windows 3.1" and
  20. should already be installed in the forementioned directory.
  21. VBRUN300.DLL does not come with this program but can be downloaded 
  22. from Compuserve directly.  To search the file, go to the VBPJ forum 
  23. and search for the VBRUN3.ZIP file.  After downloading and decompressing, 
  24. install the file into your Windows\System directory.

  26. Make Certain that your Sound Card is active, and you are ready to go.
  27. Go to the "Sound Pics Demo" Program Group and Double Click on the
  28. "SFX-PICS" Icon.  The program will now run. Have Fun!!!

  31. registered versions.
