  3. 1.  KEYBOARD FUNCTION ASSIGNMENTS

  5.       The following are the keys and their function descriptions:

  7.       [F3]            Exit to DOS, all changes are discarded.
  8.       [TAB]           Move to Option.
  9.       [ENTER]         Accept Button. 
  10.                       Open Combo Box for selecting options,
  11.                       Accept options from combo Box.

  16. 2.  BUTTON FUNCTION DESCRIPTIONS
  17.  
  18.      A button can be activated by either a mouse, keyboard [ENTER] 
  19.      or ALT+button's hotkey.
  20.   
  21.      The following are the BUTTON names and their function 
  22.      descriptions:

  24.      HELP            Brings up this help page.
  25.  
  26.      DEFAULT         Resets sound card to default configurations.
  27.  
  28.      ACCEPT          Accept the current chosen options and exit.
  29.                      The program checks for hardware conflicts. 
  30.                      If conflict exists, a warning window will show.
  31.                      The program updates the sound configuration and
  32.                      system files: SOUND16.CFG, CDROM.CFG, CONFIG.SYS
  33.                      AUTOEXEC.BAT, SYSTEM.INI, before exiting to DOS.
  34.  
  35.      SOUND TEST      Brings up the Sound Test Window.
  36.                      The Sound Test Window allows the following
  37.                      tests with the chosen hardware settings:
  38.                           8-Bit Sound Test  (Test SB Pro settings)
  39.                           16-Bit Sound Test (Test WSS settings)
  40.                           FM Music Test

  42.      VOLUME          Brings up the Volume Control Window.
  43.                      The Volume Control Window allows the following
  44.                      volume adjustments:
  45.                           Master Volume
  46.                           Voice Volume
  47.                           FM Music Volume
  48.                           CD Audio Volume

  50.      CHANGE OPTIONS  Brings up the CD-ROM Configuration Window.
  51.                      The CD-ROM Configuration Window allows the
  52.                      following CD-ROM configurations:
  53.                           CD-ROM Drive Type
  54.                           MSCDEX selection
  55.                           I/O Address
  56.                           Interrupt
  57.                           DMA Channel

  60. 3.  COMBO BOX FUNCTION AND HARDWARE CONFIGURATION DESCRIPTIONS

  62.      A combo box can be activated by a mouse, or a keyboard [ENTER].
  63.      When activated, a list box with options is opened for selecions.

  65.      The following are the descriptions for each sound card's hardware 
  66.      section and its options:

  79.                      your sound card to play Sound Blaster 
  80.                      compatible DOS games. (Default)

  82.                      Selecting [Windows Sound System] mode will
  83.                      switch your sound card into the mode to 
  84.                      play those DOS games or utilities written
  85.                      for Microsoft WSS compatible sound cards.

  116.      There are 2 modes for DMA selections:

  118.      [Single DMA]:   uses a single DMA channel for 
  119.                      DMA playback and capture.
  120.      [Dual DMA]:     Allows to playback and record
  121.                      at the same time.
  122.                      0/1, 1/0, 3/0 are the Dual DMA 
  123.                      selections. The first one is
  124.                      for Playback. 2nd: recording.

  126.      Note: 16-bit Sound Test in the Sound Test Window can be used to 
  127.            test Windows Sound System Mode regardless of what the 
  128.            Current Mode setting is.

  134.      MPU401 is the industrial standard interface
  135.      for MIDI (Music) devices such as keyboards
  136.      and some Wave Table Synthesizer devices.
