  1. This is a release of MySQL for Win32.

  3. NOTE: If you on NT install MySQL in any other folder than
  4. C:\MYSQL and you intented to start MySQL as a service,
  5. you must create a file named C:\MY.CNF with the following
  6. information:
  7.  
  8. [mysqld]
  9. basedir=E:/installation-path/
  10.  
  11. After your have installed MySQL, the installation
  12. directory  will contain a file named 'my-example.cnf'.
  13. You can use this as a starting point for your own
  14. C:\my.cnf file.

  16. If you have any problems, you can mail them to
  17. win32@lists.mysql.com after you have consulted the
  18. MySQL manual and the MySQL mailing list archive
  19. (http://www.mysql.com/doc.html)
