  2.                    Molecular Weight Calculator
  3.  
  4.     This program will calculate the molecular weight and percent
  5. composition of up to 20 compounds simultaneously.  It recognizes
  6. user-definable abbreviations and all isotopes.  It also includes a
  7. Mole/Mass Converter, Formula Finder, Capillary Flow Modeler, Amino 
  8. Acid Notation Converter, Peptide Sequence Fragmentation Modeler, 
  9. and built-in calculator.  Full program documentation is available 
  10. by pressing F1 during program operation.  This program is FreeWare 
  11. and may be distributed freely.

  13.     To install the Molecular Weight Calculator for Windows 
  14. 9x/NT/00/ME/XP, run the "Molecular Weight Calculator.msi" file by 
  15. double-clicking on it.  The install program should take care of 
  16. copying the files to the correct locations and registering all of 
  17. the components.  If replacing an older version, the .INI and .DAT 
  18. files will be replaced.  If you have abbreviations you want to save, 
  19. backup the MWT_ABBR.DAT file before installing.

  21.     Note: Sometimes when upgrading from a previous version the Lang*.Ini
  22. and MwtWin.Chm files do not get upgraded to the current version.
  23. For this reason, if uprgrading, please delete the Lang*.ini and MwtWin.Chm
  24. files in the Molecular Weight Calculator directory before running the
  25. "Molecular Weight Calculator.msi" file.  I apologize for the
  26. inconvenience but have not found a way to fix the problem using the
  27. current version of the Windows Installer.  There are new versions of the
  28. installer available, but I do not want to force users to have to update
  29. their Windows Installer simply to install my program.

  31.     If you do not have the Windows Installer on your machine, the .msi
  32. file will not run and you must install the Windows Installer (it is
  33. included by default in Windows 2000 and higher).  I did not include the
  34. Windows Installer as part of this download because it is an additional
  35. 1.4 MB to download.  You can download the Windows Installer from my
  36. home page:
