1 In the main viewer, hold down the left mouse button to move left or right, hold down the right mouse button to move up or down.
2 You can select any object in the Pixel 3D viewer by holding down the shift key and clicking the left mouse button on the object.
3 Use the View Reset menu option to reset the camera position. This option is useful if you become lost and wish to regain your bearings.
4 You can speed up Phong rendering in two ways. First, by turning off Anti-Aliasing on the Draw menu. And Secondly, by turning off the Show Anti-Aliasing Progress menu option found on the Draw menu.
5 To see objects fully redrawn instead of just bounding boxes, turn on the Realtime Full Redraw menu option found on the Draw menu.
6 To change the color and attributes of any object, choose the Surfaces menu option found on the Modify menu. From the Surfaces dialog, choose the color you wish to change and then click Edit Individually to change it's attributes.
7 Clicking in the Pixel 3D window at any time during a redraw will stop Pixel 3D's progress. Press Enter to perform another redraw.
8 You can increase or decrease the viewers overall light intensity for both lamp light and ambient light. To increase the lamp light, press the Q key, to decrease it, press the Z key. To increase the ambient light (the overall brightness), press the W key, to decrease it, press the X key.
9 You can make your wire frame redraws faster by turning on the Quick Wire Frame Redraw menu option found under the Draw menu.
10 When converting BMP bitmap files for auto-tracing, make sure your BMPs do not contain a lot of dithering. Try to convert you BMPs down to as few colors as possible with as much contrast and solid areas of color as possible.
11 The Polygon dialog allows you to view statistics on the objects you have loaded and created. The Polygon menu option is found on the Modify menu.
12 You can modify attributes of objects by using the Objects dialog. The Objects menu option is found on the Modify menu.
13 When editing points in perspective mode, you can move points forward and back by holding down the shift key while the right mouse button is pressed.
14 When in edit mode, you can move an individual point by holding down the right mouse button on top of the point and dragging the mouse. You can move all points by holding down the right mouse button away from all points and dragging with the mouse.
15 When performing 3D painting, best results are achieved when the selected rendering mode is Gouraud.
