- Most common asked questions
- 1. Q. Where can I get the MCI drivers for Quicktime?
- A. From the Apple Quicktime Web page. http://quicktime.apple.com/.
-
- 2. Q. I have the 32-bit Windows 95 version of MediaSauce. When I try to play
- QuickTime MOV files I get the following error message. "MMSYSTEM263
- This is not a registered MCI device".
- A. You need to download both the 16-bit and 32-bit versions of QuickTime
- (version 2.11). The reason for downloading and installing both
- versions is the following: 32-bit QuickTime for Windows does not have
- an MCI driver for Windows 95. This is because Windows 95 does not
- support 32-bit MCI drivers. 32-bit applications can still make MCI
- calls, but they will be serviced by 16-bit QTW. Note that you can
- install both 16-bit and 32-bit QTW on your system, and the 16-bit QTW
- will automatically be used to support MCI. Make sure you download both
- of these versions. Do not use an older 16-bit QTW with the new 32-bit
- version. You can download these from the Apple Quicktime Web Page.
-
- 3. Q. What's the difference between the Conservative and the Generation X
- versions of MediaSauce.
- A. The animations. Example: Generation X CD Player has a dancing doll
- and the Conservative version has a flying rocket.
