  1. Welcome to DesignExpress for Labels Version 1.10
  2. ------------------------------------------------

  4. This readme file contains important information about DesignExpress.  It 
  5. includes notifications and solutions to problems you may encounter.
  6.  
  7. Installation
  8. ------------ 
  9.   DesignExpress is designed to operate with Windows 95 and 
  10.   Windows 3.1.  Select File/Run, find your installation drive, 
  11.   and choose SETUP.EXE to run the installation program. 
  12.  
  13. Notifications
  14. -------------
  15.  
  16. Quick Keys for Zoom In and Zoom Out require the use of Plus and Minus 
  17. keys on the number pad. The Plus and Minus keys on the main keyboard will 
  18. not work for these functions.
  19.  
  20. Pictures inserted into text frames may not be resizable with the mouse under 
  21. all conditions.  Use the I-Beam tool and double click on the picture.  Enter 
  22. the correct values for height and width in the dialog box.
  23.  
  24. Vary All is an option for changing a set of different designs to one selected 
  25. design.  All designs on a page are varied to a single design.

  27. Features and Additions in 1.10
  28. ------------------------------

  30. Enhanced support of CD Labels - DesignExpress now displays the CD Label
  31.      SmartDesigns in a more usable manner.  The displayed stock is more 
  32.      representative to the actual stock.
  33.  
  34. Label customization - You can now modify an existing file to print on a non-
  35.      standard stock, or you can create a new entry in the File / New Dialog 
  36.      for non-standard stocks that you use often.
  37.  
  38. On the fly registration - Updates to Registered version can be downloaded 
  39.      from our WebSite.
  40.  
  41. More SmartDesigns - Added some new stocks mainly Avery and CD label stocks.
  42.  
  43. Clipping - When printing designs, they can be clipped so that designs don't
  44.      overflow into other designs on certain overlapping circular label types.
  45.  
  46. Bleeds - You can now specify an area around a design for bleeding objects off
  47.      the design.
  48.  
  49. Sequence Fields - Added more functionality to sequence fields, so they can be
  50.      used for serial number type purposes.
  51.  
  52. Inserted Fields - Once you insert a field, you can select it and edit it 
  53.      using the Utilities Edit Field command, or by double clicking on the
  54.      field.
  55.  
  56. Text Color - A Text Color dropdown has been added to the Control Strip.
  57.  
  58. Windows NT 4.0 - The install / uninstall now work correctly under NT 4.0.
