INSTALLATION NOTES
This application is supplied with its own Windows 3.1 hosted
installation procedure which you should run to install the
software.
You may run the installation procedure in one of two ways:
1) From Windows Program Manager, select the File/Run menu
option and enter the following command:
d:\SETUP
where d is the letter of your diskette drive
2) From Windows File Manager, click on your diskette drive
icon and then double click on the SETUP.EXE file to run it.
In both cases, the install procedure will then initialise itself
and display a 'Welcome' dialog followed by the option to install
or de-install the application.
Selecting 'install' will be followed by a request to enter the
drive and directory on which you wish to install the software.
The Setup procedure will automatically create the directory you
specify and copy the necessary files into it.
It is necessary to install some files in your \WINDOWS directory.
The Setup procedure will install .INI and .PIF files in here.
If you wish to de-install this software at any time, re-run the
SETUP program as above and select the option to de-install. In
this case all files and directories relating to the application
will be deleted and the files copied into your \WINDOWS directory
will also be removed.
Note that if you store any other files in the same directory as
this application, the de-installation option will delete them,
however, it will not remove sub-directories of the application's
directory should you create any.
If you have downloaded this software from a bulletin board such
as Compuserve it would have been compressed using PKZIP. You
should use PKUNZIP to uncompress the .ZIP file onto a floppy
diskette. In this way you will create yourself a ready-made
install/deinstall disk which you can use straight away to install
the software automatically onto your hard disk and/or
copy/distribute to other users.
If files are missing from the installation procedure it is likely
that you have obtained an unauthorised copy of this software. You
should contact the author immediately to obtain a proper copy.
If you require any further information, please see the Setup
Builder help file 'Contacting the Author' section for information
on how to contact the author.
